Mothers, who are enjoying their free time with their children in Globa Park, must have seen the people, dressed up in yellow T-shirts, who are meditating on the lawn now and then. If the citizens showed the interest, the “yellows” willingly told them about some new health-improving system and provided them with a pack of newspapers and leaflets.

You can also meet the pickets, held by “men in yellow” on the main square of the city, near the regional council and regional administration buildings. This is the way, the disciples of “Falun Gong” or “Falun Dafa” organization popularize the Chinese system of “self-perfection and health improving”. The number of people, practicing “Falun Gong” has already reached 1000 people.

The press-conference, dedicated to “Falun Gong” practices was held by a number of troubled public and political leaders, was not a surprise for “Falun Gong” activists. They met the journalists beforehand, distributing the pamphlets with propaganda and persuading the journalists not to trust the organizers right in the corridor of the press - center.

Though “Falun Gong” is registered as a public organization both in Dnepropetrovsk and Ukraine, the specialists tend to find all the elements of the religious teaching and practice in it. Moreover, the numerous citizens’ appeals, complaining on this religious practice, came to the city administration. The people were shocked with the bloody imitations … of the organ extraction from the bodies of the people, who are alive that took place in Globa Children’s Park.

The doctor of the state administrating, doctor of sociology, the head of the social-psychological research of the Ukrainian Customs Services Academy, N. A. Lipovakaya, who had made an estimate of “Falun – Dafa’s” public actions for the internal policy department of the city administration came to such a conclusion:

“The public demonstration of the tortures creates a significant social – psychological problem, as it makes ground for appearing the considerable negative psychological consequences… There are signs of asociality and manipulative tactics in the actions of the members of Dnepropetrovsk “Falun Dafa” organization”.

Valeriy Chebanenko, the head of the Ukrainian “Cults and Society” organization (Kiev):

- “Falun Gong” members claim that it is the way they stand up against the organs extraction from the bodies of the living people which is said to have place in China. Just imagine the situation if someone decides to imitate the act of pedophilia on the square in public in order to combat the pedophilia. How would you call this? Do you imagine the way the sights of this kind may affect the children’s mind? The next question goes like this: we all know that extracting human organs in order to use them as transplants is pitifully common throughout the world; and Ukraine is not an exception. Why are “Falun Gong” members making stress on this problem only in China? If one takes “Falun Dafa” in the world” newspaper, he’ll see that only 20% of the information is about the Chinese gymnastics and about health-improving “Falun Dafa” system and the rest 80% will be the slander upon the Communist party and the government of the Chinese People’s Republic. Proclaiming the public or religious goals, “Falun Gong” in fact concentrates on the information war against the Chinese People’s Republic for the sake of some third party. One may easily guess who this third party is, as the founder of “Falun Gong” is staying in the USA and all the administrative and financial questions of the entire organization are solved there too. It is carrying out the propaganda against the party and the government of Chinese People’s Republic, yet claims itself to be non-political, it is selling thee “teacher’s” books, but considers itself to be non-commercial, and claims itself to be “not religious”, yet is preaching the Buddhist mystic doctrines and some miracles and healings, so there’s a question: what kind of organization can it be?

The participants of the press-conference appealed the journalists to inform the public about the similar organizations’ activity more actively, as the one, who is informed, is well-armed.

Victor Borshchevskiy, the secretary of the regional committee of the Communist party:

- the parents are often glad that the teenager has something to do, he does not drink alcohol and is not engaged in hooliganism, thus they are not want to know what is he interested in or they just are not very keen on such organizations or know a little about them. And then it may be too late to do something.

The other side

Sergei Bukin, the head of “Falun - Dafa system” regional public organization:

- We are carrying out these actions so, that the people would not remain indifferent, and knew, that people are murdered.

- Why did you concentrate on China, people are murdered on the Caucasus, on the Balkans, in Iraq and Afghanistan too, aren’t they?

- There are 80 countries, where people are practicing Falun Gong; we are keeping in touch, we know each other and we know that our associates are murdered in China. Would you remain indifferent if your colleagues – journalists were killed?

- If you are staying in touch, maybe you can name some real cases when “Falun Gong” disciples youknew well were perished in Chinese People’s Republic?

- Yes, I do know two citizens of China, who are staying in Ukraine now, they are asking for the political asylum here.

- You told that the people, you know, were murdered because of practicing “Falun Gong”. Can you name the cases and the names?

- No.

 Gao Yushen, the ambassador of China in Ukraine:

- Governments of many countries, especially the ones, bordering on China have prohibited “Falun Gong”. Now this organization is functioning in the USA and in some European countries. Its leaders accuse the Chinese government of violating the human laws and the freedom of worship. They have deceived some citizens of Ukraine too and made them organize the meetings, protesting against violating the human rights in China. But this is definitely a lie. When your journalists and I went to Tibet, we visited two Buddhist temples. And our Ukrainian friends saw themselves that people really enjoy the right to worship their religion to the full.

Why did the thousand of Ukrainian citizens turned their back from their vital problems and started protecting the Chinese population from some problem which is very likely to be fabricated,- that is definitely an interesting question. And the clue to this question doesn’t seem to be logical and full of common sense.
