Crisis goes on moving around the country and its way seems to be triumphant one. Looking for a new job, Dmitry Ganzha, a former university research officer, found an ad, which was offering some “well-paid work in the office”. Actually, the place he came to was an office, yet, it was an office of Tiensi multi-level marketing company. The company was selling some medicines, which are made in China. First, he was suggested to attend a three day educative seminar.

Dmitry Ganzha, biologist;
- I was surprised with their “healthcare goods”, such as “a gadget for stopping the holes in the aura” which are allegedly resulting from jinx and curse. Besides, there was some medicine, made of spiruline, which was meant to “clarify DNA”, though even school textbooks let one clearly see that it is impossible to change the living creature’s DNA. There were also some meds helping to cure cancer. Surprisingly, none of these mentioned remedies rang a bell to medicine or biology. But all of them were rather costly.
It was stressed that multi-level marketing is the most progressive way which will be the most efficient one in economics soon, and that it is impossible to achieve success doing some regular work. After I had asked them about social package and pension plan, they told me they never make any work contract, while pension plan “is outdated”.
After all, I was told that I will get about $200 for selling their products at first, and then my income will reach from $500 to $600.

Psychologist’s Comment
Vera Tymchenko, the consultant of the “Dialogue” center;
- In multi-level marketing systems employees often use psychological and psychotherapeutic techniques, which can be used only while giving psychological aid. But they use them to talk some person into attending the seminar through promising him a good job. Then, they carry out the seminar and treat the person so that the guest felt that refusing the proposal would be impolite. Besides, they promise financial well-being and stress that this group is the privileged ones (you can reach success only if you are a distributor of a multi-level company) and tell about how successful their organization is somewhere in America or in Japan. The leaders of these organizations never tell their employees that only a short percentage of people are cut for trade, just as it is with any other work.
And, it is absolutely evident that the person should consult a doctor, not a “network manager” before taking some medicines.

Lawyer’s comments
Oleg Bovkun, the president of the “Center of Human rights protection”:
- The first evident violation is that they use unreliable advertisement. They promise people some service – it is employment. Yet, when people come to their office they find out that they don’t get what they were going to get, but instead they are proposed to become a member of a trading network.
This is not a work; at least it would not be profitable during some months at the beginning, so the person who is looking for employment would just waste his time for nothing.
The second fishy moment is that it is hard to imagine how the receipt is given during this direct trading. So, there is nowhere to complain if you are not satisfied with off-grade goods (for instance, what should you do if the gadget doesn’t mend the holes in your aura? The person who had sold you this gadget isn’t even a businessman and he hasn’t got the following certificate). And, to crown it all with, how do the representatives of this “business” pay taxes?
